There appears a very good opportunity for the Star Kingdom (Ire) male line to be resurrected at the historic Baramul Stud, the one at which this pre-potent sire force became recognized as the greatest influence in the history of Australian breeding and at which his awesome racing son Todman became an immediate sire success with his first crop including Golden Slipper winner Eskimo Prince.

The new source of Star Kingdom at Baramul Stud is REENACT , a handsome chestnut son of Golden Slipper winner and two times Champion Australian sire Marscay, who was by Biscay, the sensationally fast son of Star Kingdom bred at Baramul.

Marscay was owned by Geoff and Beryl White, who bred and raced many good horses by him including REENACT , a very talented galloper rated one of the top three Australian two year olds of 1999-2000 and a leading three year old the following year.

Like so many of the Star Kingdom breed, REENACT was an early maturer who opened up his racing career with a third in the AJC Breeders' Plate, who then went onto show his juvenile superiority with two clear wins over 1100m at Rosehill Gardens and the second late in the season in the QTC Sires' Produce Stakes-Gr 1.

In between, he was a head second to Assertive Lad, the champion of the age group, in the AJC Sires' Produce-Gr 1 and the STC Silver Slipper Stakes-Gr 2.

REENACT added to his reputation as a tough, sound high-class and versatile performer at three, winning the QTC Grand Prix Stakes-Gr 2 by 4½ lengths and running fourth in the AJC Australian Derby-Gr 1 and Queensland Derby-Gr 1, on each occasion giving the leaders a big break but rocketing home in the closing stages.

REENACT is not only from the spectacular Star Kingdom sire producing male line, but he also has a powerful international maternal pedigree. His dam Role (USA) is by one of the most influential Mr Prospector (USA) sires in Gulch (USA), the source of Kentucky Derby winner and champion American sire Thunder Gulch (USA), and from American Oaks-Gr 1 winner Class Play. There are more than 20 American stakes-winners in the first three generations of the family which produced REENACT .

Retired to stud in 2002 in the ownership of a partnership of Gerry Harvey, the owner of the Baramul Stud, and Geoff and Beryl White of the Invermien Stud, Scone, REENACT was given good support by both owners. He covered 74 mares in his first season for 85.5% fertility and 86 in 2003 for 87.3% fertility. The first foals are from quality mares by such sires as Encosta De Lago, Bluebird (USA), Marauding (NZ), Royal Academy (USA), Rory's Jester, Whiskey Road (USA), Vain, Danehill (USA), Star Way (GB), Grand Lodge (USA), Zabeel (NZ) and Rubiton.

With his first crop of foals selling at the 2005 Magic Millions Sale in January for an average of $32,000 REENACT , appeals as one of Australia's best value young sires and prospects at his current fee of $5,500 including GST and he is available for public use.
